Hosting a Thanksgiving dinner is like hosting a full fledged party and thus, requires party planning. After all you have to make arrangements for party tables, chairs, cutlery, serving pieces and decoration items. Getting everything prepared and ready at the right time can be daunting. Thanksgiving cannot be a frenzy of last-time preparation deal. Your Thanksgiving dinner should be fun, sophisticated and of course tasty.

Thanksgiving Party Planning

Thanksgiving is going to be a busy holiday with so much happening around.  That’s why preparing a checklist prior to dinner will help you in organizing a perfect dinner party, which will be remembered by each and every guest of yours. You need to make advance preparations for everything, including entertainment, food, cleaning and decoration. Make your Thanksgiving dinner more than just food and a great table setting. Plan something big and make sure that the entire atmosphere of your dinner seems to be like a party.

Thanksgiving Checklist

The Guest list: Your Thanksgiving party planning should begin with the preparation of the guest list. Properly think about everyone you want to invite, make arrangements and determine how your party guests are going to seat at your Thanksgiving party venue.

Food: Food is going to be the heart and soul of your thanksgiving dinner. In advance, prepare party menu and your menu should include only festive food. If you want to prepare your dinner from your own you can do it, otherwise book a caterer in advance.

Drinks: Include alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for Thanksgiving Day refreshment. Red and white wines are integrated part of Thanksgiving dinner, so do include them.

Set-up: In order to host an amusing party set-up is very much important. You will have to make arrangements for tables, chairs, glasses, plates, and utensils for the dinner. These are the big stuffs, but other small things like table clothes, platters, bowls, napkins, gravy bowls etc. are also need to be arranged. Instead of purchasing all these stuffs in bulk, you should better think about party rentals.

Decorations: Decorate your Thanksgiving venue with the festive decoration theme. Use colors of fall such as red, yellow, orange, brown, and peach. Embrace your venue with floral decorations.
